Ongoing Research Projects
Research interests of the program faculty include problems in item response theory, multidimensional scaling, prediction techniques, applications of multivariate techniques to the solution of psychological problems, and computerized adaptive testing.
Research in psychometric methods requires access to modern computing
equipment, which is available to all graduate students. This equipment
provides a high level of local computing capability. Through these
workstations, and an Academic Computing Services microcomputer laboratory
in Elliott Hall, students can access local and international computing
networks and databases, as well as the state-of-the-art supercomputers
available through the Minnesota Supercomputer Institute.
