Founded in 1919, the Department of Psychology has had a long and prestigious history. It has consistently been ranked among the top ten graduate departments since comparative rankings were begun in 1957. The hallmark of its international reputation for excellence is a faculty of distinguished psychologists known for the highest achievement in research and a strong commitment to teaching at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.

Our program represents what we consider to be the most important elements in graduate psychology education.
