Each exam will consist of 50 multiple choice questions worth 1 point each. Therefore, a total of 150 course points can be earned by your performance on exams. Exams will cover material from lectures, discussion sections, and readings. The exams will not be cumulative; rather, they will test your knowledge of the material from the respective parts of the course (i.e., up to Exam 1, from Exam 1 to Exam 2, and from Exam 2 to the Final Exam).

A note about make-up exams. Make-up exams will not normally be given in this course. You will only be allowed to take a make-up exam if you can document illness, family emergencies, immovable medical appointments, and so on, that interfere with your ability to take the regularly scheduled exam. Make-up exams must be scheduled with the instructor. You will receive a zero for an exam if you miss it without a legitimate reason.
