Graduate School Information Session
This session is typically offered one to two times per semester and will be advertised in the Psych Scoop. A panel of graduate students or program representatives discusses the process of preparing for, applying to, and being accepted to psychology-related graduate programs.
What Can I Do With a Major in Psychology?
In this panel event, recent Psychology BA/BS graduates will talk about how they went from being a psychology major to having a psychology-related job in the "real world." Learn about their current positions and what it took for them to get there.
Careers and Pizza
This session is typically offered once per semester and will be advertised in the Psych Scoop. We focus on one particular psychology-related career field (e.g. business, counseling, forensics psychology). One to two individuals working the particular field will come to discuss his or her job while everyone enjoys a free pizza lunch. These sessions are great opportunities for networking and will be advertised in the Psych Scoop.
Transfer Student Welcome
First-semester psychology transfer students are invited at orientation to attend this informal event held around mid-semester each term. Students will have the opportunity to connect with their major through mingling with fellow psychology transfer students, members of the Psychology Student Club/Psi Chi, and your major advisors while enjoying a variety of the university area's unique pizza!
Psychology Undergraduate Celebration
Graduating Psychology majors, Psi Chi inductees, and select award recipients are invited to this annual recognition ceremony held in the Spring. The celebration begins with a refreshment and appetizer reception and ends with a recognition ceremony, with opportunities to win door prizes throughout. Come celebrate your accomplishments with your peers, staff, faculty, and those closest to you! Students being recognized will receive an email invitation to this event.
