Cognitive and Biological Psychology
You may choose any of the following as an emphasis in cognitive and biological psychology: affective neuroscience, animal learning, behavioral pharmacology, cognitive neuroscience, cognitive science, human learning and memory, neuroimaging, psychoacoustics, psychobiology, and vision. Students are drawn to our program by the interdisciplinary
interests of professors in the cognitive and biological program
and the prospect of working with top-notch faculty. Students become involved with research as soon as they enter the program and complete a first year research project. Our faculty will help you tailor your graduate program to meet your needs and interests. Courses and seminars cover many topics related to cognitive and biological psychology, and we encourage you to take courses in other departments. You may also elect to minor in neuroscience or cognitive science. In addition to students with a background in relevant areas of psychology (e.g., perception, cognition, learning, behavioral neuroscience), we are interested in those who have a background in related fields such as biology, neuroscience, computer science, statistics, and mathematics. |
