Department of Psychology
Psychology scholarships, awards and prizes are processed through your University of Minnesota student account. Receipt of this money may affect other financial support you have received as a University of Minnesota - Twin Cities student. - Donor Awards for Psychology Undergraduate Engagement
These awards support Psychology undergraduates completing hands-on experiences in the local, national or international community.
- Mortensen Travel/Research Awards
**All funds have been distributed for the 2013-14 academic year**
Travel Awards are available for psychology students presenting a poster or paper at an undergrad research conference or professional psychological conference. Research Awards are to be used toward research projects undertaken in collaboration with a psychology or adjunct faculty member.
- Mortensen Scholarships
Each year the Department of Psychology awards several academic scholarships and one study abroad scholarship to psychology majors.
- Donald G. Paterson Scholarship
Awarded to full-time junior or senior undergraduate students with a Psychology major that demonstrate financial need. The scholarship is to used for tuition, fees and books only. The junior scholarship is to be renewed for the same student as a senior.
- Sharon Borine Major Projects Award
This gift will acknowledge undergraduate senior students each semester whose final submissions for their Major Project course are of the highest quality.
